It began with my roommate, the invincible Lori, tie-dying up a storm this summer that turned me on to it, but now I am noticing tie-dye everywhere. It is an abstract tattoo, playful leggings or even on the runway. I love it. What do you think? Unfortunately I don’t have sources for these photos because I’ve been grabbing them here and there for over a month. I want to see...

There was one thick cream-colored L.L. Bean cable knit sweater my Dad would always wear when he went out in the woods to chop down wood for our fireplace. It had a high crossover neckline with three wooden buttons. I can picture him now pulling the sweater over his head and slipping on some big leather boots to disappear out into the snowy woods. He may still have that sweater, it was well-made....

My very smart friends over at Armchair Media just launched this site for the College Board. Clean, friendly, simple. Could good design lead to better SAT scores?

Lego just launched what may become a pretty awesome entrance into social media, Lego Click. Rather than straying away from their beloved plastic bricks, the site embraces the tiny building blocks we all loved growing up with. It is a site for inventors, thinkers, tinkerers — a gathering place for when “all the pieces came together.”

I can’t believe it’s just been week since I returned to NYC from such a wonderful trip to Mexico. My boyfriend took these pictures with his trusty Diana camera in magical Quintana Roo.

One of my absolute favorite stores in my neighborhood is Sir, the tiny boutique shop of designer Joanna Baum. All the pieces are feminine, effortless and nostalgic with out being overly costume-ish. Think jumpers, winter shorts, tunic tops and girly skirts. Ms.Baum’s dresses are biased-cut making the fit perfect. Most of the pieces are made from deconstructed vintage silks, wools or...
